What the association is
The Church of the Eternal Cluster is a voluntary, independent and non-profit association. It brings together practitioners, creators and a curious public around three pillars: Kubernetes, OpenShift and high availability.
It grew from a simple observation: people who fix outages at three in the morning deserve their own rites, their own music and their own humour. The association tends this culture and presents it to the public through events, writing, music and open-source tools. The work is public, membership is voluntary, and money goes back into the purpose.
What it stands on
Orchestration as liturgy. A desired state that keeps reconciling with reality.
A platform as a community. Order that holds even when people don't.
Five nines. A promise we measure and a virtue we celebrate.
What we do
- Talks, workshops and meetups on reliable systems and the practice of keeping them running.
- Creating and freely publishing music, writing and visual works about this world.
- Maintaining the association's websites and open-source tools.
- Popularising the craft through humour and satire, in an accessible and inclusive way.
